This lizard is a decorative sculpture made of seed beads and wire. It has a flexible tail and limbs that can be made to take a variety of poses without doing it any harm; although it is not a toy and won't survive exessive rough handling.

Sand lizards are the UK’s most impressive lizard species, grow up to 20cm in length with a set of striking dorsal stripes. In the breeding season the males turn bright green, though the females remain mostly brown. As the name suggests they are found in sandy habitats, including heathland and sand dunes.
