About my Fantasy Art

I have a deep love of creatures of myth, legend and folklore, and I enjoy speculation on the potential anatomy and behaviour of these creatures. From my own interpretations of well known creatures, providing illustrations for obscure beasts with little visual representation, to designing animals to fit ecological or narrative niches, I am always experimenting with new ways to use my scientific background to create outlandish animals.

Owlbears are a Dungeons and Dragons staple, a hybrid monster that is, as the name suggests, half owl and half bear. Usually depicted with the front almost entirely owl and the back almost entirely bear with this series of commissions I tried to make the blend more natural in addition to the commissioned aim of hybridising a range of species of owls and bears.
