This snake is a decorative sculpture made of seed beads and wire. It is flexible and can be wiggled around without doing it any harm; although it is not a toy and won't survive exessive rough handling.

The grass snake is the longest snake native to the UK, and is the one most likely to be seen around people’s gardens, being a fan of compost heaps and ponds. They are good swimmers, their genus name in fact means swimmer in latin. They are entirely harmless to humans.
