This lizard is a decorative sculpture made of seed beads and wire. It has a flexible tail and limbs that can be made to take a variety of poses without doing it any harm; although it is not a toy and won't survive exessive rough handling.

The common lizard is the most widespread reptile in the UK, and the only one native to Ireland. It is extremely variable, with colours ranging from tan to black with various patterns of stripes and spots. In other parts of the world it is known as the viviparous lizard, as it doesn’t lay eggs and instead gives birth to live young.
